Toilet Paper Wedding Gowns: Not Just for Bridal Showers
If you got a kick out of one enterprising high-school senior’s prom dress made of coffee filters, you’re not going to want to miss Cheap Chic Weddings’ DIY gown contest.
The catch? Entrants were required to use only toilet paper, glue, and tape in their creations. The 2009 winner, Ann Kagawa Lee of Honolulu, took home the $1,000 top prize for her Gone With The Wind-inspired dress (complete with a Scarlett-worthy hat).
Jack Jones, one of the judges and the owner of a Boca Raton bridal salon, commented that the winning gown “absolutely looks like an Oscar de la Renta, made out of toilet paper.”
