Ethical Accessories Shop Wins Entrepreneurship Award
Claire Watt-Smith — the brains behind BoBelle’s ethically produced accessories and gifts — has been honored as one of the Future 100 Young Entrepreneurs of the Year.
At only 25 years old, Ms. Watt-Smith is an eco-visionary. Last year she launched BoBelle as an online retailer to sell eco-friendly, fair trade, recycled, and handmade goods. It was an immediate success, so this fall she opened her first counter at Top Shop’s branch in Oxford Circus, London, and began selling her wares as part of a green-retailers collective in Notting Hill.
At the end of the year she plans to release her first accessories collection and explore opening her own shop.
The Future 100 Awards, which recognize entrepreneurs ages 18 to 35, are given Striding Out, a U.K. organization that provides ethical business networking and training opportunities.
